Photographer/PhotoShop Artist: Victoria Pavlov

When did you know the photography/video industry was for you?

I fell in love with photography at age 9 after I broke my uncle’s photography equipment. He was so upset with what I did and I started wandering about what he was doing with his cameras? After getting an understanding of photography I fell in love with it.

How did you get your current position?

Work. Working hard every day. Llearning something new every chance I got and pushing myself out of my box.

How did your training or schooling prepare you for your job?

Education is very important to me. Along with my education is the importance of people who inspire me and support me.

What was the greatest obstacle you had to overcome in pursuing your career?

My biggest obstacle throughout my career was my accent. As I understand it now it was only in “my head”

Who would you name as the most influential person in shaping your career? Why?

The person who has had the most influence on shaping my career is Scott Kelby. Scott Kelby is the only one who believed in me and gave me an opportunity to present and teach.

If you could be compensated for your work with something other than money, what would it be?

Give me opportunity to donate my art to children hospital, give me the opportunity to have art therapy for abused women.
