I honestly can’t tie it to a specific date or event. I was a software developer before I went to work teaching people Photoshop and photography. When did you know the photography/video industry was for you? I still don’t know that the photography and video industry is for me… it’s a dialect, maybe even a language, but it isn’t the message itself. I find that certain parts of what I have to say are translated better visually, others verbally through writing, or speaking, photography and video really satisfy my tribe and communal needs, of creating collaborative art with other artists towards a common vision. Its a dance between myself, hair and makeup, the models, the viewer, and I love the intimacy of that… but something I can say better through painting, through sculpture, through my books. A lot of the time I need…

Photographer: Lindsay Adler
When did you know the photography/video industry was for you? I am one of those very lucky people that discovered my passion for photography at a young age. I’ve been passionate about photography for more than half of my life as one of my central driving forces. How did you get your current position? Most people like to believe that there was some sort of ‘big break’. Alas, that is not…

I’ve been in love ever since.. its been such an adventure! How did you get your current position? I launched my business- Dixie Dixon Photography now Dixie Dixon Inc. while in college shooting everything ranging from portraits, events, products, and etc to…
